As is mentioned elsewhere, my fulltime occupation is fighting fires (real ones with water etc.). It is one of the best jobs you could have and I’ve never been happier in the working world. It all comes down to the craic.
You get to hear some stories in the job, usually involving the same guys who go on to achieve legendary status. Some make you laugh, some make you cry, some make you think “How do these guys not fall over more?”. Many are not fit for human consumption and certainly not on the web. More than likely, though, every firefighter knows at least one good story. Any I post here may not be factually correct and probably won’t be my story to tell, but they should give you a laugh at least.
Who knows, we might even get the odd contributor from other brigades… (emphasis on odd).
